There is a ton of misinformation out there surrounding electric vehicle fires, but it is a very real issue with very serious outcomes should it occur. With EVs becoming more than 51% of new car sales in China as of 2025, the People's Republic wants to mitigate the risk by imposing new battery regulations for the first time ever.
