Hon. Dawood D-Al-Ameen Celebrates Democracy Day, Calls for Unity and National Progress

The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-West State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. (Dr.) Dawood Akanni Olalere D-Al-Ameen, has joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating the nation’s Democracy Day, urging citizens to remain committed to the ideals of peace, unity, justice, and democratic development.

In a Democracy Day message released on Friday, June 12, 2026, the legislator described the occasion as a significant moment to reflect on Nigeria’s democratic journey and the collective responsibility of citizens in sustaining democratic values.

Hon. Olalere noted that democracy remains the foundation upon which national development, good governance, and citizens’ participation are built. He emphasized the need for Nigerians to continue supporting democratic institutions while promoting peaceful coexistence across ethnic, religious, and political divides.

“As we celebrate this special day, may our democracy continue to grow stronger, bringing peace, unity, justice, and prosperity to all Nigerians,” he stated.
