“You Won’t See Me Alive Again” – Ekow Black Breaks Down in Emotional Audio After Assault Video Goes Viral

Information reaching Ameyaw Debrah Media indicates that popular Ghanaian content creator and TikToker, Ekow Danful, is reportedly battling suicidal thoughts following the circulation of a disturbing video showing him physically assaulting a young woman.

On the evening of Wednesday, January 14, a viral video surfaced on social media capturing Ekow angrily hitting a young lady identified as Rechael, while shouting, “Foolish girl, foolish girl, leave me alone… Rechael leave me alone.”The incident reportedly occurred as a number of  onlookers stood by without intervening.

The video has since sparked widespread outrage online, with many netizens condemning his actions and calling on the Ghana Police Service to take immediate action. While the full circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, public opinion has largely been unified on one point: no situation justifies physical abuse.

Amid the growing backlash, Ekow Black’s colleague, content creator and brand influencer, Quecy Official, has raised alarm over Ekow’s  mental state. Taking to social media, Quecy revealed that the embattled TikToker has allegedly become suicidal following the intense public criticism.

Quecy played an emotional audio recording  in which the influencer is heard breaking down in tears and expressing deep regret over his actions.

“It’s bad. What I did was very bad. I don’t have a reason for doing what I did… it’s f**ing bad. It was toxic. All this commentary I’m giving now is because tomorrow you people won’t see me. You won’t see me alive again. I swear to God you people won’t see me alive again,” Ekow reportedly said in the audio.

Quecy further disclosed that Ekow Black claims the video is an old recording that has resurfaced. According to Ekow, the young woman involved was his former girlfriend, and he alleges that her current boyfriend threatened to pay bloggers to circulate the footage after seeing it.

Despite the conflicting narratives, Quecy emphasized that he does not know the full details behind the incident. His primary concern, he stressed, is Ekow Black’s safety and mental well-being.

The situation has reignited conversations around domestic violence, accountability, social media trials, and the mental health struggles public figures face in the wake of public scandals.

As the story continues to unfold, many are calling for calm, due process, and urgent mental health intervention to prevent any tragic outcome.
