Transfer Deadline Day: Chelsea complete deals for three players

Chelsea confirmed on Monday, February 2 that transfer deals involving three players were completed on deadline day. In a statement published on the clubs official website, the Premier League side announced that Joel Philbert, David Fofana and Aaron Anselmino were all involved in moves before the window closed. Philbert completed a permanent transfer to Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur. He joined Chelsea at the age of 14 during the 2023/24 season and progressed through the clubs academy system before sealing the move. Meanwhile, David Fofana has joined French side Strasbourg on loan until the end of the season. The Ivory Coast international signed for Chelsea from Molde in January 2023 and is expected to gain further experience during his spell in France. The 22-year-old previously spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Turkish club Goztepe. Aaron Anselmino has also moved to Strasbourg on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
