THERE ARE TOO MANY DOCILE PEOPLE IN CHURCH WHO ARE DOING NOTHING — Bishop David Oyedepo

While teaching last Sunday at the Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, Bishop David Oyedepo spoke to his listeners about believing and obeying the instructions of scriptures. According to him, "Remind yourself again that prophetic words are not sent to impress us but to impact us. What you do or do not do does not change who God is. His name is I AM THAT I AM (Exodus 3:14). You believe, I AM. You don't believe, He is I AM. You insult him, He is I AM. You cast aspersions on him, He is I AM. Church Gist. You say His Word is nonsense, He is I AM. If anything, your engagement with instructions of scriptures is absolutely to your benefit. Not to the benefit of the Church, not to God's benefit. Of His fullness have we all received. Don't let pride get on your way, you can't handle the battles of life in the energy of the flesh."

Speaking further, he said "From the age of 20 and upwards, you are absolutely responsible for where you stand with God. Jairus' daughter was 12 years old, so her father could stand in for her (Matthew 9:18-26). The man that was 40 years old, they didn't ask about his relations. No! Go to the pool called Siloam and wash (John 9). Find your way there. Church Gist. There are too many docile people in Church. They write all kinds of notes in Church and do nothing. Some can't tell whether they are saved or not. Is that life? There is nothing you don't believe that will come to pass. If Christ came down and laid hands on you, it won't work."
