The Tradition I Adopted For My Family? — Didi-Omah Augustine Chinazaekpere

Greetings Executive, goodness, the theme for this week is Word & Prayer! You all know how we do our theme, not all weeks have theme but the few that have, we deliver the real and unfiltered truth. Word and Prayers.

I reside in Rumuekini with my family where there are only two major mosques and lots of individual Qua'ran and Arabic study centres. Specially Saturdays, these individual Qua'ran and Arabic study centres owned by some dedicated Muslims open to teach the children on the Qua'ran, Arabic language, prayers and the Way of Allah! Very impressive, so impressive.

But in the same Rumuekini, there are major church branches there and growing church headquarters there. The question is that these churches prays hard but still lives are not transforming? Why? Is It the founder's fault or what?

I was privileged to stay with a Jewish rosh for a year and some months when summed together. I learnt many ancient wisdom from the Torah, which is the Old Testament of our Bible as we called it. And until you come to it, you will keep struggling. I was privileged to spend most of my childhood Sunday's worships at Christ Unity Church, Rumueme, Ada George, Obio/Akpor LGA, Rivers State, Nigeria.

I am saying it precisely so you will know how much I am learning and observing, if I did not say it today, if Christ Jesus will tarry, I might say it the week after this week — it is a parable of days. Executive, back to our discussion. At Rosh Anthony Idigbo place, he is the Jewish rosh I earlier said, I stayed with. I learnt religious discipline and studying fun. Studying fun in the terms of: we can be having our meal and be talking about the Bible, discussing on a chapter or something that have roots in the Holy Scriptures.

Saturdays are Sabbath days. And we keep the Shabbat from Friday's evening to Saturday's evening. My point here is as early as 7:00 am, the Torah study session is on, and it ends by 11: 00 am. Then sharing of food to all in the house — why will the Israelites' children not keep knowing the Torah. Spending time to pray to God within a measurable time frame; study the Torah and discussing, asking questions and giving life illustrations as friends and family for more than two hours until everyone understands; end with prayers and thanksgiving. Then share food as friends and family.

That's why I love the Jewish till date, I am a Christian by faith and in truth. I love everyone including the Muslims. Now to the Muslims, on Saturdays, those individual Qua'ran and Arabic study centres will be training the children from maybe 9 am to 1 pm, these children are not going to do works at home — no going to shop. And they will be thoroughly brought up in the way of Allah the creator. Separate from the Friday and Sunday worship at the mosque. I have Muslim friends, we eat together, play together, sometimes discuss on the Qua'ran and the Bible in references, we spent time till late night fall. 

I have never make any Christian girl or lady my best friend talk more of being my unique one. But I tell you the truth, my unique one is a Muslim lady, Ishola Rukayat Nifemi Arike, a Yoruba Muslim beautiful lady. A mathematician in making. I don't joke with her for anything, I enjoys her presence. Hope you are getting my points here. I am not condemning anything. 

I want to show you something, that made The Organisation DIDI-OMAH powerful, if you are asking why are we winning souls without loudspeakers or noises. Sunday is not the divine day for worship, you want to argue that. Jesus Christ rise on the first day doesn't breaks the law, we are saved from the law of sin and death, and not from the laws of God.

Worshiping on Sunday is a Roman's order, and not God's order. God's chosen day for rest and worship to Him is Saturday, and what now? History have proven that Roman's strategically turn Christians to be worshipping on Sundays in regards of their Sun god. Let us not go there, because there are many things that the truth will destroyed today, if we go by the truth of the human history. The truth is bitter and it builds.

At Christ Unity Church, we in the children department, we have no manual for Sunday teaching. We basically use Bible chapters studies. Like for example, we are studying from the Book of Esther; this Sunday can be Esther chapter one, I was there when we started from Genesis. We study the Bible on that selected chapter, we don't jump the Bible pages to another — as we do today in major churches. The children does not know what God told moses on the mountain, you are telling the children the laws of sin and death! First what is the law of sin and death?

I thank God for the series of training He has put me through and keep training me. Sin increases because the family and the church fails their duties. God said, teach your children my laws, place it on your wall. Spend time to teach your family and yourself on my Words. Don't be surprised too, I came from both side in my family: my mother is a prayer-based Christian, my father is a little Word-based Christian. Me, I am a full-time businessman and a Word-based Christian. A Word-based Christian is a faith-based Christian.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing of the Word of God. For you must hear before you obey. I learnt the Bible chapters by chapters without jumping from my parents, then Christ Unity Church did their part well by teaching us meditation. Today's church have scrapped meditation out of their doctrines. Prayers can't do the job of meditation. So Jesus Christ went up alone after sending His disciples away, praying and being silent, that is to say after He prayed, He meditate.

I and my potential family will always have Word Feast and Deep Word Meditation, Fellowship with God — every Saturday from 7 am to 11 am. No home chores, no distractions, no cooking. Then sharing of food after that session — every Saturdays. So we can know God as family and keep His Word. I steal this from the Jewish traditions, and meditation from Christ Unity Church pattern — because the Bible commanded it, and it is acceptable in the eyes of God and I love it. The only authority over my life is the Word of God.

Executive, studying the Bible and meditating on the Word of God — is what makes your way prosperous and successful (Joshua 1 vs. 8; Psalm 1 vs. 2). I am not the one that is saying it, we can see it in the Bible. We Christians are fond of selecting the part that will favour us and leave the remaining. For who exactly? There is no passage of the Bible that is in isolation, they are all interconnected. 

No passage of the Bible is for certainty, they are for all. Except for some biblical commands dedicated to some set of people according to the Bible. Allow me to shift away from the talk a little: when I was in secondary school at Community Secondary School Rumuekini, I was in SS 2 then. There was a discussion, you know young boys talk, and someone said it is a sin to suck a woman's breast. 

I move myself to him, smiling, they asked me, Augustine why are you smiling. I opened my blessed mouth and said, it is not a sin, that even the Bible supports it fully. She shall satisfy you with the milk of her breast, young man enjoy your wife at thy youth, ravishing her with love, her body is your body — is this not in the Bible. So I collect everything the Bible said, including the romantic part, and the salvation part. Me sef like romance more than sex (itself).

Back to the knowledge of the truth: I said that to show you how most people select the same Bible, passages that will suit them. When you don't have quality time to study the Bible and meditate on that which you have studied, you cannot access the Spirit of God and get the power of the Word. Because it through meditation of the Word that the Word will lent you it's power. And when you have the power of the Word, then faith is activated in you.

They love, you will become a Christian by force because they are not just answering the name, they are showing it. Love and unity, you must put yourself into use there. I was an active child there that even the adult session of the church knows us. What a glorious church.

Prayer is commune with God, and meditation is seeing the Word of God through your mind. And that will propels you to live a righteous life. I never know what is sexual immortality, until we left that church, then even prayers cannot deliver me from the forces of sin, when I restored myself back to meditating on the Word of God — my life was never the same. We have neglected the power of Meditation. 

My God is a God of principles, you cannot replace what knowledge can do with prayers, you cannot replace what meditation can do with speaking in tongues — and you expect transformation of hearts, never! How will their hearts transform, if they do not take it to heart by meditation. Reading the Bible alone, will just be on the ears and lips, but when meditation is joined with it, the heart follows — and a new lifestyle is born. Because out of the heart is the issues of life — not out of the lips.

For their lips speaks my Words but their hearts have not inclined to my Words — because they don't meditate on it. They are quick in praying, spend short time on the Word, and boom what next — no meditation. What a great doom ahead? What are you to tell your children about how beautiful the Word of God is. Your Word have I hidden in my heart that I may not sinned against thee — that's done through studies alone, no! But meditation after studying. Spend long time on the Word and meditating on that same Word with understanding. You will see that you will speak a thing and it will come to pass.

Okay, let me close with this real life example: someone was praying for admission for years, and seems like nothing is happening. I came on stage, and when I found out that people are struggling to get admission — I was studying the Bible one day, and I meditate on it, then my heart was light with the Word echoing within. And I said, I will get admission into the institution and department that God wants for me at 17 years old. Executive, boom I got five direct admissions, I am to select — that does not need one day fast.

I said before my 25 years old I will be done with my service year. Boom, I am top 24 years old now, and currently at NYSC service. Strikes came, floods came, protests came — when I was in the polytechnic at Bayelsa State but God honours my words, doubt have no place to come in because I did not degree by myself, it was done in the heart before the mouth say it — and that is powered by meditation of the Bible. I have also speaks when I will marry, and if Jesus Christ will tarry, it will happen and I can never be surprised because I know Adonay will do it!

Get in faith when you get the Word to be in you, through knowledge of the Word and meditation of the Word into your heart. Executive! Teach people how to meditate effectively on God's Word.

This can only be done through prayers and fasting, not all, that is to say there are only few things in the world of man that only prayers and fasting can secure. Will end by saying, from Psalm 23, I can publish up to three deep different teaching that when you hear, read, and understand them — your life will change. But it is the same Psalm 23 everyone can say by heart. How possible? Because it is out of meditation and the Holy Spirit only gives clear understanding through meditation. Try it now!
