In business, it is not about how much you know, it is about how much you offer

In business, it is not about how much you know, it is about how much you offer. Many small business owners lack this, your input is equal to your output. And your outcome is what determines your income. You want your company to secure great income, you have to offer great outcomes to the people out there. Business is like you eating glass and steering at the water, because you don't know what's next. The people that control the output of your business is you, because it is the energy and resources that you input into it, that you get. The people that control your income is the customers, when you serve great amounts of people, then your income will be great.

Sometimes we have to do something different but painful. Cut the price, deliver high quality, build strong distribution networks — expand the reach, and serve more people. I have learnt that, for any business to hit billions in revenue, it have to follow what I just revealed. Deliver great product at cheap prices, have strong distribution networks, reach more people. Give back to those who helped you building your business indirectly and directly. It is not about making profit at first, here is why must businesses dies; because the founder eyes profits, no! First let your sales cover up your production and expenses, then starve yourself. 

As the business begins to grow little by little, don't eye salary. File for stocks not salary, secure strong controling equity in the company you found. Protect your equity as gold as a founder. I don't earn salary, the highest paid staff in my company including The Organisation DIDI-OMAH, is not me. Because I hold equity, here is the maths, when you hold strong equity in your company, it gives you edge to focus on the company's valuation. The more valuable the company grows, the more wealthy you become. Any founder that wants to be wealthy doing business, should hold the controlling power via strong equity of his company, and leave high salary to someone else doing better.

Executive, I love being real. I did some research and came to realise a painful bug in business. I call it bug because it will eat you up. You want to go into business, set your mind for failures, and you will be damn broke, unless you have a job already or you took a loan or your family. Because you will be broke to the smile of poor as a church rat! And I hate that word, because a Christian should not be poor. In terms of business that's the truth. If you are going into business because you want to be the boss, sorry you are not ready. If you want to feed yourself, fine you will be local and little.

But you want to solve a problem, then you will blow up and you know. I have never seen a distributor or seller, richer than the producer. No owner of a shop can be richer than the manufacturer. You own a shoe selling shop, you sell NIKE, and you thought you are the only one. NIKE have many thousands of distributors and sellers out here. So you can fetch them one million Naira, but they are worth over billions of dollars, why? The world does not reward billions to sellers, it rewards billions to those that create values. So own the products, own the platform, own the distribution networks, own the school, own the production. That's why you see us at doac, Invest. always we own and not sells!

Executive, don't just sell, manufacture. I started blogging using Google's Blogger, and in 2022 we migrated to our own platform, we own the platform, we developed the platform, we are the legal owner of the product. You see we can control what happens and what not to happen. Imagine we are still on Google's Blogger, and one day we wake up and see a new policy release and it takes us down. Who lost? We. The problem with most business owners is because you are making millions from someone's invention, why not create yours in line with your business. It helps. Like I said, don't just sell, manufacture what you sells; it can be the tools, the raw materials, the clothes of your brand.

And funny enough, small business owners avoid governments. If you want to serve beyond your national boundaries, build relationships with those at the helms of the society. In business, religious is not present. It is profits and impacts. Those in government, politics and the society, meet them. Even the police, you are running a progressive small business, and there is a police station around or close to you, you have to take some cash and gifts — visit the DPO, have a talk with him, introduced yourself and gist along. Then offer your gift and cash. That way you have built a relationship with police.

In so doing, contact will be exchanged. Executive, I have contact of CEOs and young politicians, not those aspiring. I am talking of those in it. Some have meet with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, some have been with top politicians in Nigeria. Now if I go to Abuja or Rivers State, do you think if I want to see Governor Sim Fubara, you thought it will be hard. Because I have the connection, I built it. I started professional blogging at 18 years old, bought my first stock in MTN Nigeria at 19 years old. Pay a visit to the Permanent Secretary to Rivers State Commissioner for Youth Empowerment And Employment at 20 years old. And we move to our platform at my 21 years.

When His Excellency Nyesom Wike was the governor of Rivers State, that when I made that visit to the State Secretariat. Love the government and don't marry the government. Love the government, don't marry the government. So when you aim greatness, you must visits, even Abraham visited kings, Isaac visited kings, Solomon visited kings — and these men became more wealthy than they were. Because you are not begging for contracts, you know yourself, you are trying to get recognition of the government. “DPO I am a businessman, I own doacWeb, I stay at dash dash dash. God forbid, if anything bad happens, and you call the DPO, straight the police under him to take action. Who is respected, you. And when by God's favour, that DPO become IGP, who is respected, it is you. Because you can go to him and both of you will be smiling. A church is a business, Jesus Christ said it, I go about doing my father's business. So it affects all types of businesses. Funny, I am pouring more, that's all for now Executive.
