APPRENTICE WINS ₦16 MILLION SPORTS BET IN ALABA MARKET, HIS BOSS DEMANDS ₦8 MILLION FROM THE BOY AS HIS OWN SHARE

An apprentice in Alaba Market, Lagos hit it big as he won a sports bet of ₦16 million. 

According to @oku_yungx who shared the story on Twitter, the boy's master requested that he is given half of the total winning.

The tweep wrote, "So this boy who is currently undergoing his Apprenticeship with oga at Alaba market won 16 million naira on BET and his boss requested he shared the money into 2. Meaning his boss goes with 8million. Which I know most of you had heard it. But that's not the mean reason of this post.

There was a similar scenario like this bet Naija one at Alaba. This one happened around the mid 1990s, involving a nwaboyi in Onitsha who absconded with his oga’s money around N400,000, big money at the time. 

His oga looked everywhere for him and to no avail even the Nwaboy’s family have started panicking and a whole lot of allegations have started flying here there like our people would typically do. 

However, not long afterwards the guy was reported

to have traveled to Germany. His oga also had a wind of the story and stayed calm at least the missing person was alive.

Fast forward to 2 yrs later, the guy has settled down in Germany and now decided to ship a Mercedes Benz (VBOOT) worth about N1million to his oga in as form of compensation, the old man kept the car and didn’t sell nor drive it. Roughly a year later the guy came back to Nigeria and paid his oga a visit in company of some his kinsmen with some undisclosed amount of money in an envelope as gift for his oga and the man openly refused the money and simply told him to pick a date ka eme account because he has not yet settled him, na aga eme account. The guy was puzzled, oga left them in his sitting room and went upstairs, giving him an ultimatum of 1 week to come with everything he acquired in Germany ka eme account and afterwards he’ll be settled with his blessings, otherwise he’ll be arrested and dealt with as a criminal that he is.

The Nwaboyi guy has reportedly gone into hiding until he sneaked out of the country. He never came home again. Apparently started living in exile.
