2026 U-20 WWCQ: Falconets open camp in Ibadan ahead of Rwanda decider

Nigeria’s Falconets have opened camp in Ibadan ahead of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup second-round, second-leg qualifier against Rwanda’s She-Amavubi. 

The decisive clash is scheduled for Saturday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

The Falconets carry a slim advantage into the tie after edging Rwanda 1-0 in the first leg in Kigali, thanks to Alaba Olabiyi’s 70th-minute strike. 

On arrival from Kigali, the team and officials moved directly to Ibadan on Monday, where they were received by Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Gambian referee Ngum Fatou to take charge of the encounter. 

She will be assisted by compatriots Jainaba Manneh and Abbie Ceesay, with Isatou Touray as the fourth official.

Jodie Marian Reid Seton from Liberia will serve as commissioner, while Egyptian Hayam Mohammed Baraka will act as referee assessor.
