Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, has announced a significant collaboration among Nigeria’s South-south, Southwest, and Southeast regions. This partnership marks the beginning of a unified Southern Nigeria, where influential leaders from each region are working together to address common issues and uplift their communities. In an interview with The Sun, he highlighted the involvement of prominent figures such as Chief E.K Clark, Emmanuel Essien, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, and himself under the auspices of Ohanaeze, aimed at fostering regional solidarity. Their collective efforts are focused on tackling issues of marginalization and advocating for a more inclusive and just Nigeria.

The group has unanimously recognized Chief E.K Clark and Pa Ayo Adebanjo for their seasoned leadership, acknowledging them as elder statesmen within the coalition. This underscores their pivotal role in guiding the newly formed alliance. In addition to their regional collaboration, they have established a platform for Southern and Middle Belt leaders, with Dr. Pogu Bitrus representing the Middle Belt. Chief Edwin Clark has been tasked with articulating the interests and objectives of both the Southern and Middle Belt regions, ensuring effective representation of their concerns and aspirations.

Chief Iwuanyanwu emphasized the marginalization faced by the Igbo people and stressed the importance of addressing these challenges through concerted efforts with the Southern and Middle Belt Leaders’ Forum. The alliance aims to unite leaders from diverse regions to collectively address common challenges and promote a more equitable Nigeria. He underscored the significance of unity in overcoming obstacles and ensuring fairness for all Nigerian citizens.
