VIDEO; Tinubu To Meet PM Keir Starmer After Farewell From Royal Family

King Charles III and Queen Camilla formally bid farewell to President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Remi Tinubu on Thursday, following their official visit to Windsor Castle.

The departure marked the conclusion of the Tinubus’ engagements at the royal residence.

President Tinubu is now expected to continue his UK state visit with scheduled meetings alongside Prime Minister Keir Starmer before returning to Nigeria.

Gistmania recalled that upon arrival, President Tinubu and the First Lady were presented to members of the Royal Family by Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales.

The ceremony featured full royal honours, highlighted by a 42-gun salute fired by the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery.

Afterwards King Charles III and Queen Camilla formally received President Tinubu at the Royal Dais in Windsor Castle, kicking off the ceremonial proceedings.

The Nigerian delegation included Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Attorney General and Minister of Justice Lateef Fagbemi, Chief of Defence Staff Christopher Musa, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and other senior officials were present as well as the banquet.

President Bola Tinubu departed Nigeria on Tuesday for the UK state visit, aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
