UNIJOS Student Arrested for Murdering and Burying Colleague Inside His Room

A 23-year-old University of Jos (UNIJOS) student identified as David Nanpon Timmap, a 300-level student, has been arrested by the police for allegedly m-rdering his colleague and burying him in a shallow grave.

The shocking incident reportedly occurred inside his room at Rusau Village in Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State.

According to sources, David attacked his 22-year-old colleague, Peter Mata Mafurai, with a machete during an altercation. After committing the crime, he allegedly dug a shallow grave inside his room and buried the victim.

Police officers from the Laranto Division arrived at the scene around 9:30 p.m. after receiving a distress call. Upon reaching the location, they arrested the suspect and discovered the shallow grave.

The remains of the victim have since been evacuated and deposited at the Bingham University Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The Plateau State Police Command confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the gruesome killing.
