What many people may not know is that Renault - a famous French automobile manufacturer - actually had a presence in the United States for a few decades. Beginning in the mid-1950s, Renault offered quite a few models for the US market, including the Le Car, the Dauphine, and the Renault Medallion. While Renaults weren't considered particularly interesting or reliable by the American public, sales numbers were strong enough to keep the French carmaker around for quite a while.
