Third Mailand Bridge has been re-opened after being closed for comprehensive repair works with lane markings, new streetlights and CCTV installed. Lagos Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, who confirmed the re-opening said in a statement;  Dear Lagos Residents, Were pleased to share that the Third Mainland Bridge will resume full operations on April 4th, 2024, following extensive repairs.
