“There Is Robbery In The Church Today” — Didi-Omah Exposes

There is robbery in the house of God, I mean in our churches today. Many ministers have engaged into robbery of their members, under the name of God. Executive. This is a crime.

Like charging for miracles, selling of articles to people claiming it offer miracle or safety not entitled to God. If you want funds from your members, please indicate it, like building offerings — this is known as building offering. But most churches are into raising money indirectly from different avenues from the pockets of their members.

Asking people to step out with some amounts of money, let me start from NGN5,000 — few comes out! Watch the word “God said first people that will give God NGN5,000 come out to the altar.” The turnout, the next the speaker will drop amount to NGN500. If it’s a church culture, there will be a fixed amount. But if it is raising money for a venture, no fixed amount. Even God told Moses how to get things from the people. So my God is not a poor and hungry God. Adonay is always blessed and supreme over all. Executive.

This is why the Church must return to truth. God never asked His ministers to manipulate His people. The Word of God says freely you have received, freely give. A minister using emotional pressure, fear, fake prophecies or staged testimonies to collect money is engaging in spiritual extortion, not ministry. If a church needs funds, there should be clarity, honesty, and accountability — not hiding behind “the Lord said” to drain people financially. Any giving done under manipulation is not a seed; it is robbery in disguise.

The Bible is my highest authority in the race of Christianity. Today, there are more examples happening in many local churches that people have accepted as normal but they are not of God:

• Selling “mantles”, oils, stickers, or water at fixed commercial prices — then attaching promises like instant miracles, protection from accidents, or guaranteed financial breakthrough. This is merchandising the anointing, something Jesus strongly condemned.

• Payment for counselling, special prayers, or deliverance sessions — some ministers now place a charge before you can see them or before they “lay hands.” When did prayer become a paid service? When Jesus delivered the oppressed, He never opened a price list.

• Prophetic sowing per problem — e.g., “If your issue is marriage, sow NGN10,000. If it is business, sow NGN20,000. If it is healing, sow NGN5,000.” This is not divine instruction; it is fundraising coated with spirituality.

• Fundraising through fear — telling members that if they do not give, something bad may happen to them. Fear is not of God and any giving driven by fear is manipulation, not worship.

• Special chairs, special lines, special favours only for those who give high amounts — a form of discrimination James warned against, when he condemned giving honour only to the rich.

• Endless projects that never start, never finish, or never have transparency — but members are constantly required to “redeem pledges” for what they never see.

• Turning testimonies into emotional traps — bringing people to share exaggerated testimonies connected to a seed so that others will feel compelled to copy.

Executive. The house of God must never turn into a marketplace. Jesus physically drove out those who commercialized spiritual things, and He said, “My Father’s house shall be called a house of prayer.” When ministers treat the church like a business centre for personal gain, they corrupt the very purpose of ministry.

God is not broke. God is not in need. God is not depending on tricks to fund His work. When giving is taught truthfully and done willingly, God honours it. But when ministers use deception, God is not in it — no matter how holy the microphone sounds.

The church must stand for integrity, honesty, and purity. Members must give, yes — but they must give out of revelation, love, and joyful willingness, not manipulation. A true minister teaches the people to honour God freely, not to force them into giving by spiritual intimidation. Executive. The Bible is my highest authority in the race of Christianity.

Let truth return to the altar. Let sincerity rule the hearts of leaders. And let the people of God be protected from those who turn the gospel into a money-making strategy. This is the call for repentance, restoration, and righteousness in the house of God today.
