Who stars in The Umbrella Academy?

Elliot is a big name in Hollywood, having starred in hit movies such as June (2007) and Inception (2010).

He will be returning as Viktor Hargreeves, who is also known in the show as Number Seven.

Viktor is a professional violin player and seemingly the most powerful member of The Umbrella Academy.

Their superpowers include a destructive – sometimes deadly – powerful force, which they can control with their violin.

Viktor’s coming out story as a trans character has echoed Elliot’s own experience of coming out as a trans man.

Elliot became the first openly trans man to appear on the cover of Time, after revealing their trans identity to the world in 2020.

Tom Hopper as Luther Hargreeves

Tom announced that he will be returning to the series as Luther Hargreeves, an astronaut with super strength.

Luther (also known as Number One) was given an injection that caused his upper body to turn into an ape.

Although Tom was born in Leicester, a key aspect of his TV character is that he has lived for four years on the moon.

David Castañeda as Diego Hargreeves

David Castañeda will return as Diego Hargreeves in the fourth series of the Netflix show.

His character, known as Number Two, has the ability to control the trajectory of airborne objects.

However, the end of series three has left his powers ambiguous, raising many questions for fans as they wait for the new series.

Fans may recognise David from The CW’s Jane the Virgin or Peacock’s Poker Face.

Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison Hargreeves

Emmy has appeared in The Beekeeper, alongside Jason Statham, and Blacklight, starring Liam Neeson.

She will be returning, alongside the rest of the main cast, to the Umbrella Academy for its final series.

Her character, Allison, has a romantic connection with Luther despite the characters being adoptive siblings.

Allison has the power to manipulate events when she uses the phrase “I heard a rumour…”

Robert Sheehan as Klaus Hargreeves

Robert Sheehan will be returning to play Klaus Hargreeves, who has the supernatural ability to communicate with the dead.

Klaus is a fan favourite character, because his plotlines often take a humorous, if not chaotic, turn.

One such plotline involves Klaus forming a cult named after Destiny’s child.

His character has some of the most emotional moments in the show, however, as he battles his own inner demons and addictions.

Aidan Gallagher as Five Hargreeves

Aiden Gallagher plays Five, the only character whose name is unknown.

He’s most known for his role in the Nickelodeon series; Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, but will return to The Umbrella Academy for its final series.

His character possesses the ability to jump through time, but has left him a 50-year-old man trapped in the body of a 13-year old.

Aidan’s character, Five, is known for his snarky humour and witty one-liners.

Justin H Min as Ben Hargreeves

Viewers may recognise Justin H Min from 2023’s Beef, alongside Ali Wong, or from the 2023 rom-com Shortcomings.

His Umbrella Academy character, Ben, appears for much of the series as a ghost and has the power to summon tentacles from another dimension.

After the shocking events of series three’s finale, fans are eagerly awaiting to find out just what happened to Justin’s character.

Colm Feore as Sir Reginald Hargreeves

Colm Feore’s character’s death was the catalyst that kick starts the events of the Netflix show.

Despite being dead from the first episode, his character appears in various forms throughout the series.

Sir Reginald is the creator of the eponymous Umbrella Academy, making him integral to the show’s events.

Colm himself is a Candadian actor, who won a Gemini award for playing Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau (the father of Canadian PM Justin Trudeau).
