THE STRONGEST MEN HAVE THE MOST TENDER HEARTS

Many people look at me and see a strong, powerful, masculine man.

Sometimes when I look in the mirror I see that also.

But if I look long enough I see all the scars, I see all the broken hearts, I see the pain, I see all of the experiences that have shaped and forced that man to become strong.

I remember the broken times laying on the floor in tears over moments in time that felt like death.

I remember the abandonment.

I remember the door being kicked in by people with bars and hammers screaming and threatening.

I remember running away from home because I was afraid.

I remember waking up in drug and alcohol dens of debauchery.

I remember having knives held to that throat.

I remember all the experiences that drove that man I see in the mirror to do bad and unspeakable things.

I remember the self hatred he had for himself.

I remember the boats of hopelessness he had which drove him to travel the world in a tent to find himself.

No man on this earth becomes strong without experiencing some deep, dark pain that drives him to create that strength as a protection mechanism.

And the men that build the strongest exterior, have the softest interior. This is why they build such a strong protection mechanism.

His ability to feel his heart is what drives all of his action.

If you look at a man and you see strength, I want you to ask yourself how much pain that man must’ve gone through to build that strength.

All men will become a version of themselves that they need in order to survive their environment.

If a man gives you his heart be tender with it.

It is a rare and beautiful thing.
