The Last Time is Now Tournament Finals are set

Surprise!

When WWE unveiled the bracket for the Last Time is Now Tournament, it sure looked like it was building to a Jey Uso vs. GUNTHER match in the Finals. Half of that is still true, but it won’t be Jey but rather LA Knight trying for the chance to retire John Cena.

YEAH!

It sure looked like Jey was going to emerge victorious on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Arizona but Knight managed to not just kick out of the spear into the Splash but also rolled Jey up to get his shoulders down for the three count in a legitimate shocker.

The fans went wild, and then Jey tore up the ringside area in anger. Some more character development incoming, folks.

Later, GUNTHER went head on with Solo Sikoa in what more or less amounted to a heavyweight hoss fight, with Talla Tonga lurking on the outside. Not surprisingly, GUNTHER gave Sikoa one of the better matches of his entire career, one that saw him overcome the outside interference to hit a powerbomb for the pinfall.

It’s LA Knight vs. GUNTHER in the Finals.

The winner gets John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington D.C.

We’ll find out on Friday Night SmackDown this week.
