JUST IN: Norway make history, beat Brazil to qualify for quarterfinal












Norway have beaten five time World Cup champions Brazil 2-1 in the Round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA World Cup.

The Scandinavian side will now made their first ever World Cup quarterfinal, as they face either Mexico or England.

The first half ended goalless with either side unable to break through. 

Manchester City and Norway striker Erling Haaland opened the scoring in the 79th minute and ended the game with two goals.

Haaland now joins Argentina’s Lionel Messi at the top of the goal scoring chart with seven goals.

Brazil got a late penalty that was converted by Neymar Jr as their World Cup comes to an end.

The South American side who were one of the favorites to win the tournament, exit the tournament with their earliest exit since 1990.
