Stampede: “Organisers Haven’t Done Anything Wrong” – Primate Ayodele Seeks Release Of Popular Broadcaster, Ex Ooni’s Queen

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has appealed to Nigeria government to release the organisers of the Ibadan children’s Christmas party, where  35 lives were lost.

Recall that INFORMATION NIGERIA had reported that former Ooni Ife’s wife, Naomi Silekunola Ogunwusi, and popular broadcaster, Oriyomi Hazmat, were arrested over the unfortunate incident which happened on Ibadan, on the 18th of December, 2024.

Speaking with PUNCH on Saturday, Ayodele said that the organisers acted with good intentions, aiming to support the government by providing relief to the less privileged.

He faulted some religion leaders claiming that the event was used for ritual purpose.

Ayodele said: “Oriyomi Hamzat and Naomi have not done anything wrong; they didn’t engage in any ritual as claimed by some pastors.

“Those pastors are the devil incarnates who have never contributed anything meaningful to humanity. These organisers cannot be blamed.

“The government cannot do it alone. The organisers were only helping by reaching out to the downtrodden.

“They acted with pure hearts, and the government should temper justice with mercy and release them.”
