Primate Ayodele Unveils 2026 Prophecies, Predicts Turbulent Politics, Protests and Global Upheavals

Founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Babatunde Ayodele, has released his annual prophecies for 2026, offering sweeping predictions on Nigeria’s political landscape, the economy, security, sports and international affairs ahead of the 2027 general election.

The cleric made the revelations on Saturday during a church conference, departing from the traditional practice of delivering crossover-night prophecies on December 31.

Primate Ayodele, who has gained prominence in recent years for issuing yearly forecasts on national and global issues, said Nigeria’s 2027 elections would be intensely contested, driven more by “integrity, delivery and substance” than party affiliation.

He warned that President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition could face resistance from some northern political leaders, urging the president to consolidate support in the South-east, North-central and North-east. According to him, political divisions in the North may lead to sponsored attacks on campaign convoys and party billboards.

The cleric further predicted widespread electoral malpractice, alleging that vote-buying and rigging would feature prominently, with two major political parties implicated. He also claimed that investigations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) would expose several politicians, sparking backlash against the anti-graft agency.

On individual political actors, Mr Ayodele cautioned former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar to prepare for alleged blackmail, while warning President Tinubu of possible betrayal by some trusted elder statesmen and former aides. He predicted that certain senior officials in the current administration would be indicted and that at least one minister would eventually be removed.

Despite the challenges, the INRI founder said President Tinubu would intensify efforts “politically, economically, spiritually and technically” in pursuit of re-election.

The cleric also forecast at least eight major protests against the Tinubu administration in 2026, including what he described as “nemesis protests,” alongside attacks on the convoys of some federal and state lawmakers.

On security, Mr Ayodele warned of mixed fortunes, citing peace and betrayal within Nigeria’s security framework. He called for prayers against plane crashes in Africa and globally, predicting emergency aircraft landings in Nigeria and a military plane crash elsewhere in the world.

Economically, he cautioned that Nigeria would face persistent electricity grid failures and rising energy costs, while treasury bills could pose challenges for some banks. However, he projected growth in tourism, improved cybersecurity capacity and the creation of an additional state in the country.

He also warned of a major rift between President Tinubu and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.

In sports, the cleric predicted the death of a Nigerian boxer and a footballer, advising Senate President Godswill Akpabio to be mindful of his health and public statements. He further claimed that telecommunications providers, including MTN and GLO, would experience technical disruptions.

On global affairs, Mr Ayodele said some countries in Africa and Asia would develop nuclear weapons, while the United States would allegedly remove sitting presidents and frustrate major technology companies such as TikTok, Google and Amazon. He also foresaw rising tensions between Iran and the European Union, warning that NATO and the EU would confront Russia without success.

The cleric cautioned that Nigeria’s relationship with France could pose a threat to the nation’s sovereignty.

As in previous years, Primate Ayodele’s prophecies cut across politics, security, economics, sports and international relations. While supporters often point to past predictions they believe later materialised, critics continue to question the interpretation and verifiability of such forecasts.
