Police Rescue 17 Pupils Abducted in Kogi Orphanage Attack

The Kogi State Police Command has rescued 17 pupils following an attack by gunmen on Daarul Kitab School, an Islamic institution with an attached orphanage in the Zariagi area of Lokoja.

The incident occurred on Sunday at about 11:45 pm, with gunmen abducting 26 persons, 24 pupils and two wives of the proprietor. Rescue operations are ongoing for the remaining nine victims, including seven pupils and the two wives.
