Oyo 2027: Oyo State Guber Hopeful, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) Hails Tinubu’s Vision, People-Centred Leadership at Book Launch.

Governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision and people-centred leadership, describing it as a clear symbol of purposeful governance.

Kareem stated this on Saturday, January 10, at the launch of his book, Our Realistic Tomorrow, held at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Centre, Aare Afe Babalola Hall, Iyaganku, Ibadan.

According to him, President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aligns with his own philosophy of leadership.

“President Tinubu symbolises my ideas of leadership,” Kareem said. “His Renewed Hope Agenda reflects a pro-people approach that focuses on empowerment, development and inclusive growth.”

The book, he explained, presents a leadership blueprint that cuts across food and human security, education, economic stability, healthcare, trade and commerce, and sustainable development.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Charles Olufemi, Special Assistant to the President on Initiative Empowerment on Youth Agriculture, commended Kareem for contributing to intellectual and policy development through writing.

“One who is not intellectually endowed can’t know what to write,” Olufemi said, adding that the Tinubu administration has placed strong emphasis on youth empowerment, particularly in agriculture.

“The Renewed Hope policy has initiated a major agricultural transformation that will reduce unemployment and empower the youth.”

He noted that Kareem’s attention to agriculture in his book was timely, stressing the need for deliberate policies to improve food security and economic growth.

In his remarks, Oyo APC Spokesperson, Hon. Wale Sadare, described Kareem as a man of excellence, humility and purpose.

“Our party values intellect,” Sadare said. “If we are celebrating anyone, it is because the person wants to contribute meaningfully to the development of society.”

While addressing guests, Kareem explained that the opening section of the book outlines his personal journey and leadership blueprint. He emphasised education as a critical pillar of development.

“All children should have access to free and quality education regardless of their background or whether they attend public or private schools,” he said, noting that proper funding and accurate data would make such a policy achievable and boost job creation.

He also outlined plans for the health sector and security, saying mobile clinics would be introduced to improve access to healthcare, while CCTV cameras would be deployed across the state to tackle insecurity.

The well-attended book launch drew party leaders, professionals, traditional rulers and youth stakeholders from across Oyo State and beyond, reflecting growing interest in Kareem’s ideas and his advocacy for people-centred leadership.

The event was well attended by high profile personalities including: Mrs Maybell Williams, Mr Abdul Maroof Olagboyega, the chief launcher who launched who launched the book with the sum of N5million.

The wife of the aspirant, Mrs Nafisat Kareem also came in from Australia to attend the event.

Others include: HRH Oba Alhaji Munirdeen Arigbabuwo, the Onilalupon of Lalupon Kingdom, HRH Oba Shakiru Oyewole Oyelere, the Onifiditi of Fiditi Kingdom.
