Omah Lay Releases His New Album ‘Clarity of Mind’

Omah Lay has released his sophomore album, “Clarity of Mind“, a 12-track project that signals a deliberate shift toward self-reflection and emotional growth in his music.

The Afrobeats star said the album represents a new phase in his career, driven by themes of self-discovery and healing, as he deepens his signature Afro-fusion sound. Tracks like Artificial Happiness, Jah Jah Knows, Canada Breeze, and Don’t Love Me, Water Spirit, Julia, Coping Mechanism, Waist, MARY Go Round, I Am, Holy Ghost, and Amen, highlight his introspective approach and evolution of his artistry.

Since breaking into the mainstream in 2020 with hits such as You and Bad Influence, Omah Lay has built a strong global following, further cemented by a Grammy nomination this year, 2026, for Best African Music Performance for his collaboration with Davido on With You.

Explaining his mindset, the singer expressed strong confidence in his craft and creative direction.

“I’m the best at this. I don’t mean to brag. But I am the best in the last 20 years,” he said.

“If you bring together all Afrobeats artistes, when it comes to true artistry and making music, I stand alone at the top. The only person I sometimes put on the same level as me is Burna Boy. He’s the sole artist I look at and think, ‘yes, he’s up there.’ Apart from Burna, it’s just me.”
