Maigari’s Generosity Embodies True Spirit of Giving: Dr. Emmanuel Musa Hails Minister’s Yuletide Largesse in Taraba

As the Yuletide season brought joy and reflection across Nigeria, Hon. Uba Maigari Ahmadu, the Honourable Minister of State for Regional Development, demonstrated exceptional leadership and kindness by reaching out to thousands of people in his hometown of Wukari, Taraba State.

The minister, who hails from this vibrant community in southern Taraba, personally spent several weeks at home during the Christmas period.

He interacted closely with residents, visited old classmates, family members, and loved ones, sharing moments of celebration, especially with the Christian community marking the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a massive show of generosity, Hon. Maigari distributed thousands of bags of rice, thousands of cartons of pasta, gallons of vegetable oil, and cash gifts running into millions of Naira.

These items reached people from all walks of life, providing much-needed relief amid rising living costs and economic challenges faced by many Nigerian families.

This timely intervention brought smiles to countless faces, allowing families to prepare hearty meals and celebrate the season with dignity. Residents described the gesture as a lifeline, especially for vulnerable households struggling to afford basic food items during the holidays.

Praising the minister’s actions, Dr. Emmanuel N. Musa, a prominent APC stalwart in Adamawa State and President of the Emnamu Foundation – one of the leading humanitarian organisations in North East Nigeria – hailed Hon. Maigari as a true embodiment of the spirit of giving.

Dr. Musa, known for his own extensive philanthropic work through Emnamu Foundation, which has supported thousands in the region with food, health, and education aid, described Hon. Maigari as a “worthy ambassador” of empathy and care.

“The true measure of giving is not just in what you give, but in giving to the right people at the right time,” Dr. Musa said. “Hon. Maigari has shown exactly that. His intervention came when it was most needed, during this festive season when families want to come together and share love.”

He highlighted the minister’s accessibility, noting how Hon. Maigari spent weeks on the ground mingling with ordinary people. “While many elected and appointed officials, including representatives of the people, often stay away from their constituents during such times, Hon. Maigari stands out differently. He is always close to his people, listening and helping,” Dr. Musa added with excitement.

This rare display of humility and connection, according to Dr. Musa, sets a powerful example for other leaders. He urged ministers, governors, senators, and all political office holders to emulate this approach by staying connected to the grassroots.

“This is the real meaning of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda – touching lives directly and building trust from the bottom up,” Dr. Musa emphasised. “If more leaders key into this noble initiative, it will strengthen our party and ensure smooth sailing come 2027 elections.”
