John Dumelo Announces Free World Cup Viewing Centres Across Ayawaso West Wuogon

Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Hon. John Setor Dumelo, has announced a series of initiatives aimed at making the upcoming World Cup more accessible and enjoyable for residents in his constituency.

In a social media post on June 11, the MP outlined plans to provide free public viewing centres across several communities, along with food support for football fans who will gather to watch Ghana’s matches.

According to him, DSTV subscriptions have been paid for selected viewing centres to ensure uninterrupted broadcast of matches.

The constituency will also benefit from multiple giant screen locations, including Abelemkpe Astro Turf Park, Okponglo, Mempasem, Airport Residential Area, West Legon, and Dzorwulu, where residents can gather to watch all Ghana games, with some centres open for all World Cup matches.

Beyond the viewing arrangements, Mr. Dumelo also revealed a food support initiative involving 13 kenkey sellers across the constituency who will provide free kenkey and fish to fans during Ghana’s matches.

He described the initiative as part of efforts to bring communities together during the tournament and to support local vendors while promoting a shared national experience.

The announcement has already generated reactions online, with many netizens of his constituency welcoming the initiative as a boost to community engagement during the global football tournament.
