Jealous Sister on the Run After Ordering Men to Murder Her Own Sister Over Affair with Husband

Police in Brazil are on the hunt for a woman accused of orchestrating her own sister’s brutal murder out of jealousy and suspicion.

According to authorities, Gabriela Alves Braga accused her sister, Aline Thayane de Oliveira Azevedo, of having an affair with her husband. This suspicion led to a deadly plot that ended with Aline being shot in the head on September 25—right in front of her 7-year-old daughter.

How the Murder Happened

Police investigations revealed that Gabriela allegedly conspired with others, including 22-year-old Carlos José da Silva Barbosa and 47-year-old driver Márcio Robson, to carry out the crime. It was shared that Carlos agreed to participate as a way to settle his drug trafficking debts.

On the morning of the murder, Márcio parked outside Aline’s home pretending to read a book. When Aline stepped out to take her daughter to school, the gunman ambushed her, shooting her fatally before fleeing the scene.

Arrests and Manhunt

CCTV footage of the vehicle used in the attack helped police track down Márcio Robson, who was arrested hours later more than an hour’s drive from the crime scene.

However, Gabriela, along with Carlos and another suspect identified as Raimundo, remain at large.

Police Chief John Castilho confirmed that the suspects are being pursued, with Gabriela named as the mastermind of the crime.
