Israel halts humanitarian pauses, declares famine-hit Gaza City a 'combat zone'

Israel on Friday said it was suspending the pauses during which it had been allowing food and other humanitarian aid to enter the famine-stricken Gaza City, declaring that the territory's largest city was a "dangerous combat zone". Israel has been hammering the city with air strikes for days as its military prepares to reoccupy the devastated city.
