“If You Are Suffering Pray To God” — Didi-Omah Augustine Chinazaekpere

The message I bring to us is simple, but it carries deep power: If you are suffering, pray to God. This is not just a nice saying. It is truth. The Bible says in James chapter 5 verse 13, “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray.” That means prayer is not a last option. Prayer is the first response. When life presses you, when pain knocks, when confusion rises, God is not far away. He is near, and He is listening.

Executive, hear me with an open heart today. I am not a pastor nor do I own a religious ministry. I am an businessman, industrialist, investor and a Christian.

Executive, suffering comes in many ways. Sometimes it is not sickness. Sometimes it is the pain of failure, the stress of responsibility, the fear of tomorrow, the loss of peace, or the burden of expectations. You can be smiling outside and still be bleeding inside. God sees all of it. Prayer is simply talking to God from your heart. You don’t need big grammar. You don’t need long words. God understands tears. He understands silence. He understands the cry of a heart that is tired. When you pray, you are not weak. You are wise. You are saying, “God, I cannot carry this alone.”

Many people suffer because they try to solve everything by themselves. As executives, leaders, parents, and decision makers, we are trained to be strong. But strength does not mean carrying life without God. True strength is knowing when to lean on Him. When you pray, God gives peace before He gives answers. He gives strength before He changes situations. Sometimes the problem stays, but you are no longer the same person inside. Prayer changes you first.

Executive, the Bible also tells us to seek God’s blessing. There is a kind of success that looks good outside but is full of sorrow inside. There is money without sleep, promotion without peace, and achievement without joy. But God’s way is different. Proverbs chapter 10 verse 22 says, “The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” When God blesses you, He does not mix it with pain. His blessing brings peace, rest, and joy. It lifts you without breaking you.

This is why prayer matters. Prayer connects you to the source of true blessing. You may have skills, experience, and plans, but without God, life becomes heavy. With God, even hard seasons have hope. When you pray, you invite God into your daily life, your work, your family, and your future. You stop struggling alone and start walking with Him.

Executive, picture this in your own life. Picture the area where you are suffering quietly. That place where you feel tired, confused, or stuck. Now imagine placing that situation in God’s hands. Not rushing Him. Not forcing Him. Just trusting Him. That is what prayer does. It teaches your heart to rest in God. It reminds you that you are not alone and you were never meant to be.

There is something deeper God desires for every human being, and it is not just relief from problems. It is relationship. God wants you to know Him, not just know about Him. This is where Jesus Christ comes in. Being in Jesus Christ is the greatest achievement of life, greater than titles, wealth, or success. Why? Because Jesus brings you back to God. He brings forgiveness, new life, and a clean heart. He gives meaning to prayer. Through Him, prayer becomes a conversation with a loving Father, not a distant God.

Executive, many people are successful but empty because they have not found life in Christ. Jesus does not take away your intelligence or ambition. He gives it direction. He does not weaken you. He strengthens you from inside. When you are in Christ, suffering does not destroy you. Blessings do not control you. Life begins to make sense.

I am not here to pressure you. I am speaking to you as a friend. If deep inside you feel a hunger for peace, truth, and real life, that is God calling you. If you desire a fresh start, a clean heart, and a life anchored in hope, Jesus is offering that freely. Walking with Him is not religion. It is life.

Executive, remember this: when you suffer, pray to God. When you desire blessing, seek God’s way. When you want true life, stay close to Jesus Christ. He is faithful. He is kind. He is real. And He is ready to walk with you.

May your heart lean on God, your prayers rise with faith, and your life reflect the peace that only God can give.
