Heel swerve gives two new members into The System in TNA

TNA closed Impact (Jan. 22, 2026) with an interesting angle as two new members joined the System in a heel turn. Moose and Johnny Dango Curtis are out. Cedric Alexander and Bear Bronson are in.

The main event segment was JDC handpicking his replacement for The System. Dango is heading into retirement, so the big draw was this new mystery member. Introducing… Bear Bronson.

On one hand, good for Bronson working his way up the ladder. Joining the System will give him story purpose inside TNA. On the other hand, Bronson is hardly the kind of star big enough to close the show as a mystery reveal.

Well, a lot more to the story unfolded in the final minutes.

As the System exchanged pleasantries to send JDC home, Eddie Edwards struck the fancy dancer with a low blow. Moose and Alisha Edwards were shocked. Brian Myers shrugged his shoulders with a smile. Bronson trucked over Moose, and Myers stomped him. Cedric Alexander ran in with a chair for the save. The newly turned heels retreated.

If you’ve watched enough professional wrestling in your lifetime, then you could feel something off about Alexander. That instinct would be correct. Alexander blindsided Moose with a chair shot to the back. Edwards grabbed the mic to explain that the plan wasn’t to replace one member in the System. It is to replace two.

The System are now heels with Edwards, Myers, Alexander, and Bronson. It remains to be seen which side Alicia stands.
