Fayose denies Ekiti govt contracts, says Wike’ll always assist me if I need anything

Former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Monday, described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike as his friend who always assists him whenever he’s in needs anything.

Fayose stated this while distancing himself from government contracts in Ekiti State.

Fayose, who spoke during the inauguration of Igbaraodo-Ikogosi road to mark Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s third year in office, denied handling a fly over bridge in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

He said, “I’m not a contractor and I don’t get government contracts, I’m too old to be a contractor.

“My friend Wike, if I want anything won’t he give me? He is my friend. Ekiti has nothing anybody would take from here.”

Fayose also pledged his support for Oyebanji’s second term bid.

He added, “For me and all that I represent, we are going to stand by you.

“I used my tenure as governor to fight war. I fought in the morning, afternoon, and night.”
