Criticism trails hike in medical charges at UBTH, alleged privatization of laboratory services

Residents of Benin City, Edo State, have protested to the Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, over what they described as an astronomical increase in hospital charges and alleged privatisation of laboratory services at the Accident and Emergency (A&E) unit  (UBTH) and other services.
