Carter Efe Vows to ‘Beat Speed Darlington to Embarrassment’ in October 1 Celebrity Boxing Bout

Nigerian content creator Carter Efe has made it clear that he is not stepping into the boxing ring with Speed Darlington just for fun. The comedian has vowed to beat the entertainer when they face off on October 1, with comments allegedly made about Afrobeats star Burna Boy fueling his determination.

The two entertainers recently had a heated face-off ahead of their highly anticipated celebrity boxing bout, tagged ‘Chaos in the Ring’, which is set to take place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.

During the tense encounter, Speed Darlington could be heard telling Carter, “Na beating I go use beat you.”

Carter, however, appeared unfazed. He questioned why Speed was standing close to a bouncer and challenged him to face him without security.

“Why you dey run follow bouncer? Make bouncer leave the two of us. I wan show you say I be 24-year-old boy,” Carter said.

Speaking ahead of the fight, Carter also took a swipe at Speed’s reputation, claiming that the entertainer could never expose him because he is the one who knows people’s secrets.

“Speed Darlington can never expose me. I’m the one with people’s secrets,” he declared.

Carter further revealed that Speed’s alleged comments about Burna Boy are one of the biggest reasons he is determined to win the fight.

According to him, Speed crossed the line by allegedly calling Burna Boy gay, and he believes someone needs to put a stop to such comments.

“The major reason I want to beat Speed Darlington is because he called Burna Boy gay. How can he be saying it to a big artiste like that? If I don’t stop him, he’ll say it to Davido too,” Carter said.

Making his intentions even clearer, Carter said he is not simply looking for a win. He wants to leave Speed Darlington thoroughly embarrassed after the bout.

“I want to beat Speed to embarrassment,” he added.

With both entertainers already trading words ahead of the showdown, all eyes will be on the ring when ‘Chaos in the Ring’ takes place on October 1 in Lagos.
