Brazilian Influencer and Councillor Fernanda Oliveira da Silva Found Dead at Home

Popular influencer and councillor Fernanda Oliveira da Silva was found dead in her home on October 23, 2025.

According to reports, family members discovered her lifeless body at her residence in Lago Verde, near São Luís, and immediately called paramedics, who sadly confirmed her death upon arrival.

Fernanda, who was not only known for her presence on social media but also for her political career, was a member of Brazil’s centre-right political party, Progressistas.

She was first elected as a councillor in 2020 and later served as President of the City Council from 2021 to 2022 and again from 2022 to 2024. At the time of her passing, she was serving her second term as a councillor in Lago Verde.

Speaking about her sudden death, a City Council spokesperson expressed deep sorrow, stating: “The City of Lago Verde expresses its deepest condolences for the death of Councilwoman Fernanda Maroca, which occurred on Thursday.

“A prominent and respected figure in our community, Fernanda dedicated her life to public service, serving her second term as councilwoman, where she was also president of the City Council for two terms, always with commitment and love for Lago Verde.

“In recognition of her political journey and contributions to the municipality, we decree an official mourning period of three days throughout the territory of Lago Verde.”
