WWE star Ivar is ‘injured’ and ‘out of action indefinitely’

Gallus returned to NXT at the end of this week’s episode. Wolfgang, Joe Coffey, and Mark Coffey showed up on NXT TV for the first time since February and made an immediate impact by taking out Ivar, Josh Briggs, and Wes Lee. Gallus returned to NXT at the end of this week’s episode. Wolfgang, Joe Coffey, and Mark Coffey showed up on NXT TV for the first time since February and made an immediate impact by taking out Ivar, Josh Briggs, and Wes Lee.

As a result of that attack, WWE announced today that Ivar will be indefinitely sidelined:

Soon after that news was announced, Ivar was replaced in the ongoing WWE Speed tournament by the man he beat last week, Apollo Crews. It will be Crews vs. Tyler Bate on Wednesday in the semifinal round.

Ivar was also scheduled for a three-way match on next Tuesday’s (May 21) episode of NXT to determine the number one contender for the Men’s North American championship, but he won’t be medically cleared (at least in kayfabe) for that bout either.
