WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR OCT. 13

But I remember us riding in my brother’s car, her body tan and wet down at the reservoir. At night on them banks I’d lie awake and pull her close just to feel each breath she’d take, but now? I’m just here to liveblog this here pro wrestling show that happens to take place on the 45th anniversary of the River’s release, folks.

The show opens with a recap of Crown Jewel and then the usual montage of talent arriving at the arena.

The Vision make their entrance, consisting tonight of Seth Rollins (decked out a suit and overcoat of black and beige gingham that’s kind of great, actually), Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and “Big” Bronson Reed.

They stand in the ring and let the crowd sing for a bit before Rollins asks for and receives a microphone from Heyman and greets Perth. He runs through his schtick and says this is his Vision and tonight is about him but he wants to take a moment to recognize the greatness standing in the ring with him that he has assembled.

He starts with Paul Heyman, doing his own version of Paul E’s intro for him and saying he’s blessed for being in his presence and giving him a hug. The crowd eggs them on to kiss and Seth gives Heyman a little kiss on the forehead and says there’s no shame in that love.

He moves on to Bron Breakker, barking after the crowd boos and asking Bron to give him a little head shake and Breakker takes his glasses off and does it. Rollins says six months ago there were rumors of his potential and now under his Vision, Bron has flourished and become everything he thought he could be and more, and Breakker is without a doubt the undisputed future of this industry.

And then, Seth bouncing on his feet, he moves on to “Big” Bronson Reed, the Auszilla, and says six months ago Reed was on the shelf and couldn’t beat Roman Reigns– this gets the crowd to sing for Roman and Bron conducts them– but with his Vision, Rollins gave him every bit of knowledge he had about Roman Reigns and not only did he beat him, he destroyed him, embarrassed him, and he is the new Tribal Chief!

Bronson puts his one up and nods and Seth segues only to be greeted by “CM Punk!” chants. He says he has two questions, pop quiz, he knows the crowd isn’t very smart but he’s gonna try anyway. He asks who the greatest WWE World Heavyweight Champion of all time is and why is it him. Paul likes to say there are levels to this game and Seth claims that nobody is on his level right now.

He says the difference between him and the other greats of his generation is that he hasn’t needed anyone to get his success. (He says, standing in a ring with three men who have been instrumental to his current ascendancy.) “Bullshit!” chants rain down and Seth says he’s gonna spit straight facts– Roman Reigns needed the Shield, Roman Reigns needed the Bloodline, Cody Rhodes needed him to beat Roman Reigns, but he doesn’t need anybody.

He doesn’t need Bronson Reed, he doesn’t need Bron Breakker, he doesn’t need Paul Heyman, he beat CM Punk and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania on his own, he won the world title on his own, he trounced Cody Rhodes with one good arm, he doesn’t need the men in this ring, he chose them and they have chosen him, because he is a visionary, etc.

At this, a bunch of pyro goes off and his music plays again.

Penta is walking backstage and runs into Rusev.

Rusev says he should be having Penta’s match tonight but baby boy Dom cheated him out of his title, but he’s going to allow it because he’s already spoken to Adam Pearce and he’s gonna get the winner of tonight’s match. And if it happens to be Penta, he wants to remind him that he hasn’t forgotten that advice and he’s got one piece of advice– pray.

Penta calls him an asshole and walks away.

Dominik Mysterio walks up in the bathroom, new neck tattoo and two title belts and all, sees Rusev and immediately backs away.

Penta makes his entrance to send us to break.

Dominik Mysterio wins by pinfall with a frog splash, retaining the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Backstage, LA Knight is interviewed.

He says CM Punk isn’t his partner tonight and he might get himself punched in the mouth or pinned tonight but if you ask him this match isn’t for the #1 contendership, it’s for the title and when he wins he’s gonna pin Seth 3-0.

CM Punk rolls up and says last week was cute, Knight stole one and it’s not happening again. LA says he has to accept the isness of what is because he is what is and reiterates that he’s gonna win tonight.

Kairi Sane is chilling in a green room when Asuka comes storming in to berate her about losing their match on Saturday and blames her for IYO SKY still having disrespect in her belly for her. Kairi says she’ll fix it by talking to IYO and Asuka tells her she’s gonna fix the dishonor by beating Rhea Ripley tonight.

Sane shows off a wicked bruise on her forehead and says she got it because she tried to help Asuka, so Asuka hauls off and slaps her across the face and yells at her in Japanese before gently caressing her cheek and smiling.

Rhea Ripley makes her entrance, flanked by IYO SKY to send us to break.

Back from commercial, some UFC talent is shown in the front row.

Down and out as Kairi goes up top, perching, Rhea runs under the elbow… RAZOR’S EDGE! SLIDING KNEE ALMOST DOES IT! Heading up top, jockeying for position, Sane knocks her down with right hands!

Kairi perches as Rhea gets back to her feet, big chop from Ripley to try and cut her off, but Sane gets her in the Tree of Woe and hits the double stomp… STILL NO! Kabuki Warriors stand tall on the desk over Ripley’s fallen body and we go to break.

Back from commercial we get a recap of what just happened and see IYO SKY and road agent Kenn Doane helping Rhea to the back.

Backstage with the Usos, Jimmy Uso is still questioning why they’re letting Roman Reigns dictate their direction. Jey Uso says Roman is just looking out for himself and maybe that’s how they need to be, and he gets that Jim wants to fight the Vision but he’s not making the same mistake tonight and he’s staying focused on his match.

Big Jim asks if he’s saying he can’t handle Bronson Reed tonight and Jey says no and Jim says they’re each gonna handle their own business tonight.

“Big” Bronson Reed” vs. “Big” Jim Uso

Reed hammering axhandles at Uso’s injured ribs immediately, whip across, Jim stops himself short and passes Bronson to the floor! Following after him, chops cut off with a front kick, Reed scoops him up but Uso slips out and puts him into the ringpost and then bounces his face off the announce desk!

Corner enzuigiri, charging in, Ode to Rikishi connects for two… WHISPER IN THE WIND FOR ANOTHER NEARFALL!

Fireman’s carry almost gets Bronson up but Uso’s body gives out! Sentons, Reed goes up top…

Bronson Reed wins by pinfall with the Tsunami.

Post-match, Bron Breakker joins his Vision teammate on the ramp and then charges into the ring to lay Jim out with a spear! Bronson returns shortly after and holds Uso up for another spear! Reed tears the tape off of Jimmy’s ribs and kicks him out of the ring! He calls for Breakker to go around the way and Bron charges around but gets cut off mid-way…

JEY USO CAN’T LET HIS BROTHER GET BEAT DOWN!

He hits the ring and lays Reed out, back body drop to the apron on Breakker but Bronson lands a corner body avalanche! Jey with a superkick to send Reed to the floor, Jim is recovered and the Bron ‘n Bron Connection decide discretion is the better part of valor and retreat.

Jey berates his brother, Jim insists he didn’t need his help and we cut away with the Usos divided.

Lyra Valkyria is with Bayley in Gorilla asking how she’s doing.

Bayley says she’s great and not even jetlagged but Lyra says Judgment Day are always on the same page and unless she can consistently count on Bayley, tonight is gonna be a one-time thing. Role Model Bayley (who appears to be fronting at the beginning of a match for the first time I can recall since we started doing Plural Bayley) scoffs and says they won that gauntlet and they’re great.

They make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial we get some Western Australia tourism hype.

Gourdbuster, Roxanne! with the cartwheel knee drop, Rodriguez covers… STILL NO!

Clear the apron, take Bayley into the corner, tag to Perez, slingshot Falcon Arrow, giant step, double jump moonsault… NO DEAL! Follow it up with the headscissors driver… LYRA BREAKS IT UP! Trying to shake life into Bayley, sidestep Raquel into the post, throw Roxanne! to the floor, Valkyria desperately slaps Bayley and the Role Model switches in laughing and dives on Judgment Day!

Walloping Raquel on the floor, putting her into the post and over the timekeeper’s barricade, Knee Trembler to Roxanne!, up top, diving elbow, hook her…

Bayley & Lyra Valkyria win by pinfall with a Roseplant from Bayley on Roxanne! Perez.
