WWE Clash in Paris predictions

WWE Clash in Paris is all set to take place today (Sun., Aug. 31, 2025) from the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France. It begins at 12:00 pm ET with the Countdown show leading right on into the main course at 2 pm ET on Peacock in the U.S., WWE Network everywhere else, or your local cable pay-per-view provider.

Luckily for you Cagesiders, our staff of learned wrestling blowhards is here to help figure out just how the event is going to play out with predictions for each match on the card.

Let’s get to it.

WWE CLASH IN PARIS PREDICTIONS

World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Jey Uso vs. LA Knight

Geno Mrosko: Everything about this points to the champion retaining, but there are some fun stories they can tell outside of that with the likes of Punk and Uso, in particular. I’m more intrigued in that than anything. Pick: Seth Rollins

Sean Rueter: International PPV PLEs often seem to get the same “glorified house show” booking that the Saudi events do, and this Clash feels like it will fit that mold. Ergo, no title change here. Pick: Seth Rollins

Claire Elizabeth: Four-way math favors the champ to start, and that’s before you add his thirty-three and a third percent chance thanks to genetic freak Bron Breakker being in his corner, and then you consider that his Oracle makes it at worst fifty-fifty, and it all adds up to Seth Rollins retaining his title. Pick: Seth Rollins

Kyle Decker: They certainly didn’t do some convoluted ruse leading to Seth Rollins winning the world title just to have him lose it in a multi-man match a month later. The real question is who takes the pin – LA Knight or Jey Uso? Pick: Seth Rollins

Cain A. Knight: Rollins isn’t losing the belt in the same month that he won it, especially when multiple guys not named CM Punk are right there waiting to be pinned. Pick: Seth Rollins

Marcus Benjamin:Seth isn’t losing the championship here. I’m more interested in how. Jey, Punk, and LA already showed they can’t get along, so how does that influence the match and its aftermath? Pick: Seth Rollins

John Cena vs. Logan Paul

Geno Mrosko: They are building to a Cena vs. Brock Lesnar match still, and that alone is enough to make it clear Paul cannot win this match. I’m not entirely sure he shouldn’t, however. In fact, I’m a little more surprised they haven’t done more to have Cena elevate guys by way of defeating him instead of these promo segments where they get to sink or swim. Either way, they’re backed into a corner here.Pick: John Cena

Sean Rueter: Not a fan of Logan Paul in general, but I do share in the admiration a lot of wrestling fans have for his skill at and acceptance of our weird little corner of the pop culture world. Much more than his natural verbal and physical talents, what I admire the most is Paul’s embrace of the heel role (one he initially rebelled against). That includes the fact that the job’s primary responsibility is to put over babyfaces in key spots. For a main event-level heel like Logan is, few spots are more key than this one. Pick: John Cena

Claire Elizabeth: John Cena is everything that he says he is and Logan Paul is everything that John Cena says he is. It’s not gonna be a walk in the park for the Greatest of All Time and I do think it’s going to be a valuable learning experience for the Maverick, but there ain’t no way Paul squeaks out a win here. Pick: John Cena

Kyle Decker: I could see this going either way. WWE clearly sees something in Logan Paul and giving him this type of signature win wouldn’t surprise me. But given they spent much of Cena’s retirement run on a failed heel turn, it’s time to send the fans home happy more often when it comes to the Peacemaker. Pick: John Cena

Cain A. Knight: If the idea is to promote a superfight main event between Cena and Brock Lesnar for the ESPN kickoff next month at Wrestlepalooza, then Cena really shouldn’t be losing to a YouTuber right now. Pick: John Cena

Marcus Benjamin:There’s a nice segue from Logan Paul to Brock Lesnar. I think WWE takes that segue here. Pick: John Cena.

Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed

Geno Mrosko: The Tribal Thief rules but he’s no Tribal Chief. Pick: Roman Reigns

Sean Rueter: There’s a decent argument to be made for the shocking upset here (namely that the benefit to Reed would greatly outweigh what little harm it would do to Reigns), but it’s still probably not worth it for WWE to book one. Pick: Roman Reigns

Claire Elizabeth: The Tribal Thief is a cute gimmick and all, and he might even add another pair thanks to a post-match beatdown, but the Original Tribal Chief is out to prove that he ain’t lost a step and it’s still his yard. Pick: Roman Reigns

Kyle Decker: I am a big fan of Big Bronson but even I couldn’t get into the Tribal Thief gimmick or convince myself an inkling that these dudes were on the same level. Pick: Roman Reigns

Cain A. Knight: The only WWE wrestler who can beat Roman Reigns in a one-on-one match is Cody Rhodes. Oh, and Shane McMahon beat him too that one time in Saudi Arabia. The point is, you have to be among the best in the world to hang with Reigns, and Bronson just isn’t at that level quite yet. Pick: Roman Reigns

Marcus Benjamin: They showed what this feud could be when Bronson spoke about the differences between his life as a Samoan and Roman’s. There’s a rich story there I’d get more kicks out of than this one about kicks seemingly just for kicks. That said, I like the Tribal Thief thing. But with Roman not planning on a long hiatus for Street Fighter, I think the pick is obvious. Although, it’s not the right pick for business. Pick: Roman Reigns

Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Nikki Bella

Geno Mrosko: I have adored this program because Nikki has held up her end despite Becky delivering an early killshot while Lynch has been quietly doing some of her best work. Not sure there’s any reason to change the title over here. Pick: Becky Lynch

Sean Rueter: Not sure if I actually think this will happen, but a loss by one of the company’s marquee stars feels much more likely here than in the last match we picked. Probably because both people in this one are marquee stars. So why now… Pick: Nikki Bella

Claire Elizabeth: I reckon the question here is how serious is Nikki Bella about this comeback being a living breathing thing and not just a victory lap to remind everybody that she was one of the greatest of her era. Emphasis “was.” For what it’s worth I think she’s serious and I think she’s gonna be a tough match for Lynch but her neck is a target and Becky’s gonna leave as champ. Pick: Becky Lynch

Kyle Decker: Another one I could see going either way because it feels like Nikki is here for a legit run and it’s a title that didn’t exist when she was last active, but Becky’s heel run with the title has been so good that I don’t see reason to cut it short just yet. Pick: Becky Lynch

Cain A. Knight: I suppose they could play hot potato with the belt between Lynch and Bella, but I think it’s more likely they just keep it on The Man. Pick: Becky Lynch

Marcus Benjamin:

WWE Tag Team Championship: The Wyatt Sicks (c) vs. The Street Profits

Geno Mrosko: This was a late addition to the card, and a match I have a hard time caring about. The Profits are finally going to break up soon, right? Pick: The Wyatt Sicks

Sean Rueter: The bigger question, are we gonna actually split up the Profits after this or was Bo just the latest in a long line of foils who’ve doubted the duo’s brotherhood before Tez & Dawkins proved them wrong? Pick: The Wyatt Sicks

Claire Elizabeth: I have a soft spot for Joe Gacy, what can I say? Pick: Wyatt 6

Kyle Decker: That tease with Bo Dallas questioning if the Profits can handle another loss is more interest than if the Profits win. Pick: The Wyatt Sicks

Cain A. Knight: There are a lot of Wyatt Sicks members at ringside who can interfere more effectively than B-Fab to make sure their team walks away with the gold. Pick: Wyatt Sicks

Marcus Benjamin: I love the Profits. They come up short here. Pick: The Wyatt Sicks

Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook: Sheamus vs. Rusev

Geno Mrosko: This is the guy’s own gimmick match, he can’t lose, right? Pick: Sheamus

Sean Rueter: IT’S FIGHT NIGHT, FELLA! Oh, we don’t say that anymore? Sorry. Anyway… Pick: Sheamus

Claire Elizabeth: Oh good golly they’re gonna go a-clubberin’ tonight! I think Rusev’s willingness to go underhanded probably proves the decision but it’s gonna be a fight, boy howdy! Pick: Rusev

Kyle Decker: It’s not impossible the idea that they want to give Rusev a big push has faded, but he still should win this given he just returned and there’s more they could do with him in the near future. Pick: Rusev

Cain A. Knight: You can’t book a Donnybrook without Sheamus being in it, so I think he has a slight advantage. Pick: Sheamus

Marcus Benjamin: Rusev has to win this. I mean, he has to right? This is his first big feud since coming back to the territory so he needs to come out on top. Pick: Rusev

That’s how we see the card playing out.
