WWE bringing six title matches to Mexico City

I’m not going to tell you WWE shows aren’t worth watching when they’re taking place here in the United States but I don’t think anyone would disagree that there’s just a different energy when the promotion takes its television shows outside the country. That will be the case with Friday Night SmackDown next week and the episode of Monday Night Raw just days after at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.

WWE is making sure we get two absolutely loaded up shows too, with six championship bouts now official across both nights.

SmackDown will feature its top two titles being defended while including some flavor from AAA:

• WWE Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Sami Zayn
• Women’s Championship: Chelsea Green (c) vs. Nia Jax
• AAA Cruiserweight Championship: Rey Fenix (c) vs. Ricky Starks
• AAA Tag Team Championship: War Raiders (c) vs. R-Truth & Damian Priest

Raw, meanwhile, will feature the winner of a month long tournament to find a top luchador to challenge Roman Reigns, Penta, get his big chance at the big time in front of a crowd that should be rabidly in his favor. The atmosphere alone makes this must see TV:

• World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Penta
• Intercontinental championship: Chad Gable (c) vs. Dragon Lee

Yeah, this is going to rule so unbelievably hard.
