Why Will Somebody Say, We Will Just Allow Our Cows To Graze And If You Complain, They Will kill You? -Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe

In a video posted by Arise TV, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, of the Abia South Senatorial District (APGA), expressed dissatisfaction and annoyance at the rate at which herders are killing Nigerian farmers. He stated that why somebody say we will allow our cows to graze, and when farmers complain, they will kill those farmers because they have high-power raffles. He added that this is an issue that, when brought up, nobody wants to talk about.

Speaking further in the video, he stated that this grazing has destroyed many villages in the north, and now they have moved to the east to states like Enugu and Abia State, and it needs to end before they move even further.

According to him, “What we don’t want is a situation where, when the situation comes up, all manner of obstacles are put in place to make sure that Nigerians will continue to be at each other’s throats and non-Nigerians are coming in and killing Nigerians and taking over their lands, because that is another subset of the problem. It is a problem that everybody is looking at and avoiding talking about; we cannot avoid talking about it. The whole villages of Plateau, Benue, and even stretching all the way to Enugu State and down to my own state in Abia.
