Why Lookman can’t join Galatasaray – Report

Galatasaray reporter Ali Naci Küçük has explained why Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is unlikely to join his compatriot Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray during the upcoming January transfer window.

The Turkish champions have been linked with a move for Lookman, but reports suggest the Nigerian international is demanding a €9 million annual salary to make the switch.

Speaking on SkySport’s YouTube channel, Küçük stated that the move is improbable due to both Atalanta’s and the player’s financial demands.

“A transfer for Ademola Lookman is out of the question. Atalanta’s asking price for Lookman is €60 million,” Küçük was quoted by Habersarikirmizi as saying.

“The player’s asking price is €9 million per year. Galatasaray paid those prices for Victor Osimhen.

“So, he won’t be able to come. A transfer for Lookman to Galatasaray is unlikely.”
