Big Brother Naija reality television personality Nina Ivy has articulated her preference for early parenthood, particularly emphasizing the advantages of having children in one’s twenties.

Recently, the reality television figure disclosed her longstanding aspiration to assume the role of a young mother, particularly during her twenties, and expressed her willingness to consider alternative means of conception, such as utilizing a sperm donor, had that been a feasible option.

Nina Ivy conveyed her satisfaction with the fact that she did not permit her rise to fame to hinder her maternal aspirations, as she relishes the experience of motherhood and harbors the desire to welcome a daughter before reaching the age of thirty.

In her exhortation to her followers, Nina Ivy asserted that provided they possess adequate resources to nurture a child, they should feel empowered to pursue parenthood.

Her remarks, however, did not resonate positively with a substantial number of individuals, prompting her to respond through a series of statements on her Instagram story, where she acknowledged their apprehensions and clarified that her intent was not to appear callous. Nevertheless, Nina Ivy emphasized that her remarks were intended to illustrate the range of individual experiences and acknowledged the uniqueness of each person’s life journey.

“I understand your concern and didn’t mean to sound insensitive. However, you’re right that many women don’t have control over when they can have children, but it’s also true and doesn’t change the fact that some do have that choice. My comment was meant to reflect that diversity of experiences. I recognize that everyone’s journey is different, and I appreciate the chance to clarify my perspective, which I also did on my Snapchat the day I made that post, blogs always choose what they want to post anyway.

“Losses can happen whether you choose to have kids in your 20s or 50s but I believe it’s important to focus on the beautiful and positive aspects of life rather than dwelling on the negatives. Just as some may face challenges with early parenthood, others may encounter them even if they have children later. Let’s try to see the bright side and appreciate the good things we have. Everyone’s experience is different and that’s okay”.

In another post, Nina Ivy re-emphasized that having kids in her 20s can be the best option because it often allows one to have more energy and time to raise them, while also giving them more years in life to pursue other goals once they are grown. She added that she believes it can be beneficial for building a strong, long-lasting relationship with one’s children as they grow together.

“I believe that having kids in your 20s can be the best option because it often allows you to have more energy and time to raise your children, while also giving you more years later in life to pursue other goals once they are grown. I also think it can be beneficial for building a strong, long-lasting relationship with your children as you grow together. Example “Omoni Oboli”.

This is my perspective based on my own experiences and observations. I understand that everyone’s situation is different, and it’s completely okay if you don’t agree with me.

You can’t shove your opinion on my throat the same way I’m not shoving mine on yours. PS: You don’t have to agree with me either and that’s okay”.
