Adekunle Gold Foundation launches scholarship for Africans

The Adekunle Gold Foundation has launched a scholarship for all Africans. The Foundation offers a full scholarship for the 2024/2025 Music Business Academy for Africa Programme.

The scholarship is created for young artists and showbusiness enthusiasts who wish to learn more about the business aspect of the music industry.

The scholarship was opened on September 18 and closes today, September 23, 2024. The Adekunle Gold Scholarship, in partnership with the Music Business Academy, is open to all African descent interested in a music career and living with sickle cell disease.

Handi, Shaun and Tjay were evicted from Big Brother Naija

On Sunday, eviction night, three housemates, Handi, Shaun and Tjay, were evicted from the BBNaija reality TV show.

The three contestants were up for eviction alongside Anita, Kassia, Nelly, Onyeka, Victoria, and Wanni, but they had the most nominations, leading to their exit from the “No Loose Guard” season.

There are now 11 remaining housemates in the Big Brother Naija season 9 show, with each contestant trying to win the show and a grand prize of ₦100 million.

Sex therapist Jaruma reveals why she got married

Popular media personality Hauwa Jaruma Muhammad revealed in an interview why she got married in the first place. The sex therapist claimed her reason for tying the knot was because she wanted to avoid the names and backlash that would follow her choice of side hustle (selling sex-related content).

Jarumamarriedo Ross Fahad Isabor and had a child with him between 2018 and 2021. She said on an episode of the ‘Issues and Society’ podcast that she received a lot of criticism and hate from northerners when they learned that she was selling sex aphrodisiacs as a single lady.

“There was so much attack, me being a Muslim and a single lady. They wondered why people allow a single lady to teach them what happens in the bedroom for lots of money.”

“It wasn’t easy at all. The sex industry is a multi-billion industry; the industry is never going to die, and I have made N760 million in three years,” she declared.

Davido trades words with Sanwo-Olu’s aide over Edo State elections

Nigerian singer and Grammy nominee David Adeleke “Davido” went head-to-head with the Governor of Lagos State’s aide, Jubril Gawat, who poked the sleeping bear (Davido) by quoting him with a suggestive statement.

Davido had posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was Nigeria’s most dangerous institution following the Saturday Edo State gubernatorial election, which awarded APC’s Monday Okpebholo as the new governor.

Davido had called Jubril a hypocrite who was always the first person to bring out his phone and take photos whenever he was around, but he was acting like a keyboard warrior on social media.
