We Are Planning Marriage But She Acts Single Online

Meli and I were not just dating — we were building a future together. We talked about marriage, children, our dream home, and how we would grow old side by side. I trusted her completely, and in my heart, I had already chosen her to be my wife.

All of that came crashing down when one day, while scrolling through social media, I stumbled upon something I never expected to see. My girlfriend, the woman I believed was mine, was busily leaving comments under strangers’ posts. In these comments, she addressed them with sweet names and portrayed herself as a single woman who is looking for someone serious.

At first, I dismissed it as innocent playfulness. But as I read more, I saw that her words weren’t just casual. They were invitations. If they said they would come to her DMs, she would tell them she was waiting for them. It was as if I didn’t exist in her life.

So while I was faithfully planning our future, she was out there making herself seem open to other men. I thought all women want a man who is serious about them so couldn’t I be enough for her?

I felt betrayed because of the way she acted as if our relationship meant nothing when she was online.

Since I saw that thing, I haven’t been the same. Our relationship hasn’t been the same either. Our love feels fake. I have come to believe she only loves me when it’s just the two of us. And that’s not love, if you ask me. Love is about loyalty, whether your partner is watching you or not.

If she truly loves me, why would she plan a wedding with me yet go about acting single when she thinks I am not present to see her? I feel like she was just using me to occupy a space in her life until someone better comes along.
