UNIBEN extends acceptance deadline to 17 Nov 2025

The management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has extended the deadline for candidates offered provisional admission for the 2025/2026 academic session. The new date for completing acceptance and paying the required fees is 17 November 2025, instead of the earlier deadline of 10 November 2025.

All newly admitted students are advised to act quickly by logging in to the official UNIBEN portal to complete their acceptance and clearance process.

How to process UNIBEN acceptance and clearance

Candidates are to follow these steps carefully:

1. Visit the UNIBEN portal and open the Login Menu.
2. Log in using your JAMB Registration Number as User ID and your password.
3. Enter a valid personal email address to receive your Student ID and a new password.
4. Open your email, retrieve your Student ID and new password, then return to the portal to log in again.
5. Use your new login details to access the Student Portal.
6. Click on the Academics menu, then select Clearance.
7. To pay your acceptance fee, use the Bank Transfer option on REMITA. (Note: Bank debit cards are currently non-functional for this payment.)
8. After payment, log out and log back in to refresh your payment status.
9. Complete your Clearance Form correctly and submit it for approval.
