The Kenyatta family has been prominent in the country’s politics, with both Jomo Kenyatta and Uhuru Kenyatta having served as President. Their legacy, however, extends beyond politics into vast business ventures, which some grandchildren of the founding president have chosen to pursue.

A good example is Muhoho Kenyatta, the last-born child of Uhuru Kenyatta, who has chosen a path away from politics, focusing instead on other business ventures, specifically the fashion industry.

Times Digital Kenya takes a look at Muhoho Kenyatta, Uhuru’s last-born son, and his fashion career.

Muhoho Kenyatta’s low-key Lifestyle

Although from a family with a rich history in politics, Muhoho chose a different path, one that differs from that of his father, Uhuru Kenyatta, and grandfather, Jomo Kenyatta.

Even during the time when his father served as Kenya’s 4th President for 10 years, Muhoho maintained a low-key lifestyle. In 2017, he accompanied the then-Deputy President William Ruto on a Jubilee campaign tour in Nandi County. The event went viral, with Muhoho appearing uneasy communicating in public.

Critics at the time argued that the last-born son was positioning himself to continue the family legacy in politics.
