Nwauju made this statement during an interview with Channels TV while reacting to claims that Bola Tinubu would not have scored the majority of the votes cast in Rivers State, during the February 25th presidential election, if not for the support of Wike. He also implied that there is no evidence of Wike openly campaigning for Tinubu’s success in the election

I am aware that at some point the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike was caught on camera saying he would have preferred a Peter Obi presidency. So there is no need to prevaricate about these issues.
