THE NAIL LOFT @ 1: CELEBRATING SUCCESS BY INVESTING IN YOUTHS

In celebrating its first year in business, The Nail Loft @thenailloftabj, founded by Vivienne Aghoghovbia @viviennea01, chose to mark the occasion by investing in young people who represent the hope of Nigeria.

On September 19, 2026, through a philanthropic outreach, @tnl_outreach, themed “Seeds of Tomorrow: Investing in Youthful Futures,” the business marked its first anniversary at the Karon Majigi Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp, Abuja, with a day centred on opportunity, education and mentorship. 

The initiative went beyond the distribution of relief materials. It provided 50 scholarships to indigenes of the camp comprising of educational support and curated mentorship. There was also personal development sessions and sensitization on government programmes available to young Nigerians. As part of the day, participants adequately engaged with representatives from SMEDAN, NELFUND and the NCGC, learning about areas relevant to their educational and economic aspirations.

At the heart of the initiative was the understanding that young people do not only need assistance; they need knowledge, access, encouragement and opportunities that can help change the trajectory of their lives. 

The Nail Loft’s first year was therefore marked not simply by celebrating how far the business has come, but by considering how that progress could create opportunities for others, and then took practical steps to make that possible.
