The Importance of National Unity During Ramadan

Encouraging Islamic scholars to emphasize national unity in their Ramadan preachings is crucial, as stated by the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Tijjani Muhammad Gwarzo.

In addition to this, the minister also called on Nigerians to offer fervent prayers for the country to overcome its current challenges.

This plea was made in a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media, Adamu Abdullahi.

According to Gwarzo, the month of Ramadan holds significant importance in Islam, serving as a period where Muslims worldwide dedicate themselves to the worship of Almighty God. Therefore, both Muslims and Islamic scholars should intensify their prayers for the nation during this time.

He urged Nigerian Muslims to take advantage of this sacred period to pray for peace, development, and progress in the country.

Expressing worries about the prevailing security issues and economic difficulties in the nation, Gwarzo called on Nigerians to show support for the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.

Furthermore, he encouraged all Muslims to utilize the Ramadan fasting period as a time to seek Allah’s intervention in addressing the current challenges faced by the country.
