Tata Consultancy Services has announced the incorporation of a new wholly owned subsidiary, HyperVault AI Data Center Limited (“HyperVault”), according to a regulatory filing.

The company disclosed that HyperVault was incorporated on October 29, 2025.

According to the notification, HyperVault will “establish multiple AI and Sovereign data centres for providing infrastructure and technology enabled services.”

HyperVault is fully owned by Tata Consultancy Services Limited, which will subscribe to 7,500,000 equity shares of ₹10 each, amounting to an initial capital investment of ₹7.5 crore, it said.

TCS will hold 100% of the subsidiary’s equity, ensuring complete ownership and control.

The industry classification for HyperVault falls under “Technology Infrastructure and Technology Enabled Services.”

The HyperVault announcement is consistent with the company’s ongoing commitment to invest in advanced infrastructure and technology-enabled services.

The move comes at a time when TCS has publicly announced a broader ambition to build approximately 1 gigawatt (GW) of AI data-centre capacity in India over the next five to seven years, entailing an investment of roughly $6.5 billion to $7 billion.

CEO K Krithivasan said these centres would cater to “pure play AI providers, deep tech companies, hyperscalers, and government needs,” with about $1 billion invested for every 150 MW of capacity. The company will rely on a mix of equity, debt, and cash partners to fund it.

This places the company among the AI cloud providers in India, such as Yotta, NxtGen, and others, who are empanelled under the IndiaAI Mission to provide GPUs to the selected startups for building foundational models.
