Super Eagles Debut Was A Dream Come True, Says Alebiosu

Blackburn Rovers right-back Ryan Alebiosu has revealed that making his debut for the Super Eagles is one of the greatest moments of his football career.

The 23-year-old Nigerian international earned his first senior cap against Uganda during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, helping his side secure a 3-1 victory.

In an interview with Rovers TV, Alebiosu shared his deep desire to continue representing Nigeria, saying the experience has fuelled his determination to grow as a player.

“I think it was just a bonus,” Alebiosu said. “When I signed, I didn’t think much of getting an international call-up. When it did happen, it was like a dream come true. Playing for my country and getting called up—it was one of the biggest highlights of my career. It really made my season as well.”

He added: “When the international stuff happened, it boosted my confidence even more. It made me realise there’s a lot that could be done, and a lot has happened—but I’m just grateful. It’s been brilliant as a team, and getting called up for Nigeria is an honour.

“Getting that at the age of 23, which was halfway through last season, just gives me more hunger for the next season. There’s still a lot to improve on, but now it gives me the belief that there’s more to bring to the table.”
